  • What can they expect at any point in their mental health journey?
  • Decreases post-discharge contact with busy clinical staff.
  • Provides regular follow-up with the discharged patient by an experienced clinician, with the objectives of:
    • explaining psychiatric jargon in clear, understandable language.
    • preventing readmission.
    • facilitating adherence to discharge plan.
    • locating community resources.

assists in managing behavioral health insurance

  • Advocates for the client with their healthcare insurance company.
  • Review and evaluate current coverage.
  • Manage bills and claims to ensure they are being processed correctly.
  • Work with healthcare providers and client’s insurance company to expedite approval of services & claims processing.
  • Facilitate the submission of appeals when claims have been denied or processed incorrectly.
  • When indicated, pursue alternate avenues for approval of services, such as P2P’s and/or SCA’s.
